Mt. Blue Area Garden Club Herb Wreath Making

Cecile Randolph has been cultivating, harvesting and foraging for herbs and other plant material for many years. She will lead this class for MBAGC members demonstrating how to design and make beautiful dried wreaths that are frangant and last forever. The workshop is open to the public if all spots are not initially filled by garden club members. Deadline for garden club members to register is September 10.

The History and Art of Penny Rugs
Thursday, September 26

Limited to 10 participants. All materials will be provided.
Penny rugs are a civil war-era craft. Scraps of precious wool from old clothing and blankets were used. Coins were used as templates and each wool “coin” was then stitched with a blanket stitch. Learn more about the history and art of penny rugs as they evolved through time - from simple pieced together circles to detailed landscapes and floral designs - and make your own work of art.

Lamp Rewiring

Have you always wanted to learn how to rewire lamps? Whether it’s an heirloom piece or a funky yard sale find that needs to be brought up to code - you can do it! Instructor Barbara Hardenbrook has been bringing new life to lamps for years.
All materials will be provided but participants are welcome to bring their own lamps as well.

Kids Pumpkin Decorating

Spooky, funny, scary or just plain indescribable. Those are just a few of the words that will be used to describe the amazing pumpkins kids will create at this workshop. Each child will be able to select multiple pumpkins to decorate.

Holiday Decorations

Want to make your porch the star of the holidays this season? Do you love the smell of balsam in charming sap buckets decorated with hand made bows? Then this workshop is for you! Participants will get to choose from interesting architectural elements to decorate (like old doors and windows); and incorporate vintage ice skates and natural elements like dried gourds and other unique items .

Upcycled Crafts for Christmas

There are soooo many amazing projects they all can't be listed here! Come join the fun of upcycling items into amazing gifts to give. We will even make the gift bags to give the gifts in!

Sewing 101 lessons are always available.
Have you always been intimidated by either hand sewing or using a machine? We will conquer your fear and teach you the ins and outs of both machine and hand stitching. Participants will complete multiple projects. All materials will be provided. Machines are available but feel free to bring your own if you want to get to know your machine.

Wears & Wares can also be reserved for birthday parties, bridal parties and other special occasions. Workshops can be designed to fit your needs.
